London Olympics 2012

The Games of the XXXth Olympiad were seen as one of the most successful Olympic Games ever held.  The Olympic Games are the largest and highest profile sporting event in the world. Sword were a key supplier of crowd management and security services to the London Games.

Sword were responsible for supplying crowd management and security services to a number of the most prestigious Olympic venues including;

• The Olympic Park
• The Aquatics Centre
• The Waterpolo Arena
• Eton Dorney
• Horseguards Parade
• Olympic Stadium

Sword worked with LOCOG, the organizing committee for the games from late 2010 to develop and implement crowd management and stewarding plans to ensure successful operational delivery for the games.  Over 1500 staff were deployed by Sword throughout the venues. Sword trainers and management team were heavily involved in training thousands of the volunteers who were a key element in both the delivery and legacy of the Games.
